    A driver is dead after their car slammed into a tree in Newport, Delaware. State police tell Action News that the driver was traveling on 295 northbound near the 95 merge around 5 a.m. Saturday when they lost control and ran off the road.

Family of 1 adult, 4 children killed in Townsend, Delaware crash

On Delaware Route 1 North, crews draped tarps over a white minivan. Its hood ripped off discarded to the side as a result of the high-speed impact.

    Police say one adult and four children from a New Jersey family were killed in a multi-vehicle crash. Another adult from the family suffered injuries. It happened just before 4 p.m. on Route 1 near Pine Tree Road. They are trying to figure out why a work truck veered across a grassy median and into oncoming traffic.
