The New World. Through Dec. 2 at Bucks County Playhouse, 70 S. Main St., New Hope. Tickets: $40-$80. Information: 215-862-2121, bcptheater.org.

'New World' at Bucks County: Guarini, Thanksgiving, and a talking turkey, oh, my
"The New World," running through Dec. 2 at Bucks County Playhouse, is a world-premiere musical about the first Thanksgiving. It's very funny. With sparkly leads Justin Guarini and Julian Gottlieb, a diverse cast, and some good songs, it constantly undercuts itself and our expectations, which is why it's funny - and nimbly avoids schmaltz and stereotype.

The Code Blue designation means that homeless people can remain indoors at shelters during the day, and it prohibits evictions or termination from emergency housing during this time.
