We moved to the area last June, living just off Grant.... was curious if anyone had kids around the ages of 8-9? My daughter is 8 haven't really meet or seen kids in the general area.... we go by Anne Frank School a lot - but usually only see older kids playing in the basket ball court.
if anyone does have kids 8-9 and would like to meet up for play date that would be great!! here is my email firstname.lastname@example.org
We are already in week three of the Free Library's summer reading program - next week is that half way mark! there's still plenty of time to get in on the fun this summer. Come in today and see how much you can do between now and August 3rd!
The cleanup for June 23 has been cancelled due to rain. Please come to our July cleanup on July 28 from 10 AM to 1 PM on Torresdale Ave between Enfield St. and Rhawn St. where the road crosses the creek.
Calling all parents: If you are willing to share a copy of your child's assigned summer reading list, we would be most grateful! We have the School district K-8 list, but still need the high school list, St. Cecilia's lists, and any other lists you might be able to share with us. Our sincere thanks!

Summer is here and that means going down to the shore. And what is a favorite relaxing beach activity? Why, it’s sitting on the beach with a good book. What! You don’t have any good books or you’ve read them all? No worries. This Saturday, June 16 from 9 AM to noon at Lincoln High School, Ryan Ave. parking lot, FOPP will be having our monthly recycling and that includes our FREE book and magazine tables. Yes, I said tableS, because we get a lot of books and need more than one table to hold them all. We love when people take them from us, so now’s your chance! You can also bring your unwanted books and magazines to give them a second life. While you are visiting bring your paper/cardboard and aluminum to recycle with us (please separate the aluminum from the paper). We also take clothing and shoes. Lastly, being June, we collect old and worn flags in honor of Flag Day. Flags will be properly disposed of through a local veteran’s group.
What a fun time we had celebrating today!
We will be celebrating at 4:00 today with the sounds of the sixties from All Around this World. Light refreshments to follow. We hope you can join us for Peace, Love and your Fox Chase Neighborhood Library!
4:00 tomorrow! Come celebrate 50 years of your Fox Chase Neighborhood Library! We can’t wait.
