Department of Street Commissioner, Donald Carlton, came out to do a tour of Griscom Street on April 11th. Raymond Gant, of the Ray of Hope Project , contacted him. He took pictures and made a list of problems in the 4600 blocks of Griscom and Penn Streets.

Crews were called to the 4600 block of Tacony Street at 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

A house in Philadelphia was badly damaged in an overnight fire. Crews were called to the 4600 block of Tacony Street at 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Fire was coming from a 2-story twin home. Firefighters were able bring the flames under control in less than 30 minutes. The neighboring house had some smoke damage.

Customers today, encountered the doors of the 7-11 store at 5028-34 Frankford Avenue closed and locked.

The candy striped sign on the door said the business license has been revoked for tax reasons by the city. The word on the street says there is more to it. So far, there has been no comment from the 7-11 Corporate office.
