Department of Street Commissioner, Donald Carlton, came out to do a tour of Griscom Street on April 11th. Raymond Gant, of the Ray of Hope Project , contacted him. He took pictures and made a list of problems in the 4600 blocks of Griscom and Penn Streets.

Customers today, encountered the doors of the 7-11 store at 5028-34 Frankford Avenue closed and locked.

The candy striped sign on the door said the business license has been revoked for tax reasons by the city. The word on the street says there is more to it. So far, there has been no comment from the 7-11 Corporate office.

Officers of the year Stephen Burgoon and Sean Kennelly were highly successful in reducing the number of burglaries in the District, many of them in the area of Northwood last year.
