In introducing Senator Tartaglione, Commander Guy Lewis stated, "This lady has been loyal, dependable, unwavering advocate for the citizens of Pennsylvania, especially those of the 2nd (Senate) District, which includes East Frankford.

Department of Street Commissioner, Donald Carlton, came out to do a tour of Griscom Street on April 11th. Raymond Gant, of the Ray of Hope Project , contacted him. He took pictures and made a list of problems in the 4600 blocks of Griscom and Penn Streets.

Customers today, encountered the doors of the 7-11 store at 5028-34 Frankford Avenue closed and locked.

The candy striped sign on the door said the business license has been revoked for tax reasons by the city. The word on the street says there is more to it. So far, there has been no comment from the 7-11 Corporate office.
