It's been pretty amazing seeing the community take advantage of Hackett's new playground. We're very grateful to all the neighbors that have not only volunteered their time to help out with watering plants and picking up trash. We're also encouraged by all those that have been keeping an eye on the grounds in general. To help protect this neighborhood resource, we are working with ORCA and the neighboring households to install security cameras on a some of the surrounding homes. You will see new signage in the upcoming weeks posting the schoolyard hours (7AM to 9PM when school is not in session). The new signage will not only post hours, but also clarify and expand some of the schoolyard rules. We're aware that there have been dogs on the grounds and often running off leash on the turf. While we know that the signage near the turf does not explicitly prohibit dogs (although the signage near the play equipment does), please note that dogs are not allowed. This will be clarified with the new signage. In the meantime, please spread the word.
