Got Leaves? Leaf Recycling Season started on November 6th and will continue until December 16th. On Saturdays ONLY between 9 AM and 3 PM, Northeast Philly residents can take leaves bagged in brown paper biodegradable bags to Russo Park (7231 Torresdale Avenue), Mayfair Recreation Center (2901 Princeton Avenue) or Fox Chase Recreation Center (7901 Ridgeway St.). The Streets Department is also sending crews out to collect leaves from high accumulation areas. To find out if they'll be on your block, visit: philadelphiastreets.com/leaves

Cops: Motorist was DUI when he hit woman, 84, in NE Philly

Joseph J. Bradley Jr., of the the 15000 block of Wayside Road, in the Somerton section was taken into custody shortly after police responding to a report for a rash found the woman unconscious and injured in the roadway on the 8000 block of Pine Road about 4:20 a.m. Monday, police said.
