Good Afternoon and Happy (Almost) Super Bowl Weekend! This promises to be an exciting weekend for Philadelphia and our residents as the Eagles take on the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. In preparation for Sunday’s big game, the Philadelphia Police Department has given several suggestions to help businesses prevent any potential problems involving excessive celebration during and after the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Please share this with your membership/business contacts as appropriate. If you own or manage a bar, club, restaurant or other establishment that sells alcohol, you are asked to do the following: Serve drinks in plastic containers instead of glass bottles Refrain from selling take-out bottles Monitor patrons’ alcohol consumption – do not continue to serve intoxicated individuals Do not let patrons leave your establishment with open containers of alcohol – remind them that police will be enforcing open container laws and issuing citations For all businesses: Ensure your property is locked and secured when you close – including all security gates Remove trash cans, flowers pots and other outdoor objects that could be vandalized or used to commit vandalism If you have cameras, make sure they are on and recording The Philadelphia Police Department will be present on business corridors and additional locations where there is potential for large celebrations. If you have any specific questions or concerns about your area, please contact the local police district. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and helping us to make this a safe environment for all Philadelphians. Go Eagles!
