Developer Ori Feibush has acquired the site of the former Frankford Chocolate Factory on the north side of Washington Avenue between 21st and 22nd Streets in South Philadelphia, with plans to raze most of the historic structure to make way for apartments, townhouses and stores.

Come and find out what is happening with Lanier Playground (between 29TH – 30th Streets and between Tasker and Morris). Meeting held on Thursday, 12th April at 6:00pm at St. Gabriel's Church, 2917 Dickinson St., lower level (Dickinson & Myrtlewood). There will be discussing the park opening, begin plans for the the ribbon cutting, share ideas for dog park use and stewardship and establish the Friends of Lanier Playground. Pizza will be served and they will have activities for children.

Philadelphia Gas Works' contractors are scheduled to replace underground natural gas pipeline in your zip code at the following locations: 1400 S 30th Street 1500 - 1600 S 27th Street 1700 S 28th Street 2700 Morris Street 2900 Reed Street 2900 Gerritt Street VIEW MAP HERE - 4x-4909 Construction Hours: Daily work hours are based on the City's posted hours of operation; Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; or 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for specific sections. What to expect: 5 Steps Service Interruptions and Re-Lighting Appliances: If you are a PGW customer, there will be a temporary interruption in your service on the day your home or business is connected to the newly installed gas main. A PGW contractor will leave a notice on your door stating the anticipated date of service interruption at your home or business. It is not necessary for you to be at home during the day while this work is being done from the street to the outside of the building. However, PGW and its contractors will need access to your home or business once the work is completed to re-light the pilot lights on all of your gas appliances and check that your system is safely operating. The re-light and safety check will be scheduled directly with you.
