Police say Moy was struck in the 5000 block of Irving Street at 4:08 p.m. Friday.

Police say the car that struck him is registered to someone on the 200 block of South 50th Street.

    UPDATE: Police say the vehicle used in the fatal hit and run was turned over just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the 26th District Headquarters. Brother Issa not only sells his own beautiful artisanal jewelry, but he also gave back to his West Philly community in a big way by participating as a key business stakeholder in our Walnut Hill Neighborhood Plan Update in 2016. He is story #25 in our 52 Stories about 52nd series; read on to learn more about him! A Revolutionary Artisan Brother Issa has been a vendor of vision for over 40 years. His kiosk is filled with treasures from the African Diaspora as well as handmade artisan metal jewelry that he crafts himself. His Kiosk is located in front of retailer Babe’s at 110 South 52nd St., and you can usually find his space by following the music. The Ojays, Ohio Players, and Teddy Pendergrass are often heard emanating from the multitude of fragrant oils, incense, portraits of activists, and jewelry. He has owned physical stores in both Center City Philly and in Atlanta, and he has sold art on 52nd St. for over 15 years. Brother Issa takes pride in not only being an artisan but also a master teacher. He is keen on passing on his artisan skills to the next generation. She also said goodbye to two women she's been incarcerated with for four decades. Both were denied parole last week, for reasons Africa can't understand.

Murphy, her supportive Husband and Mother in Law run the newest and arguably most beautiful shop on 52nd St. The Showroom, located on 5222 Chestnut St., brings a higher end and fashion conscious take on modest wear. The Showroom is meant to not only be a place to pick up fashions and Halal nail polish but to be an experience, says Simone. the beautiful Hijab, Abaya, and scarves come from as far as Dubai and new inventory comes every few weeks. It is important to the entire Murphy family to showcase Black American entrepreneurship at the highest levels. "In our community, McDonald's is not just a restaurant: it is a daycare, it is a senior center, and it is a youth rec center. " - our Corridor Manager Tempest Carter, emceed the ribbon cutting on the newly-renovated 52nd St. McDonald's, and she touched on the various ways that the community uses the McDonald's space. Franchisee Derek Giacomantonio was given a positive citation from City of Philadelphia Government, presented by Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell. Community partners like Freedom Valley YMCA, the Free Library, and Friends of Malcolm X. Park were also on hand to celebrate.
