Philly DA's Office: Ex-prosecutors committed 'egregious' misconduct in 2007 murder case

Patterson was accused of fatally shooting his friend Antwine Jackson, 18, on Jan. 11, 2007, outside a corner store on the 800 block of Granite Street. His first trial, in 2008, ended in a hung jury. He was retried the following year and convicted of first-degree murder.

Philly DA's Office: Ex-prosecutors committed 'egregious' misconduct in 2007 murder case
In an extraordinary step, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office on Tuesday pointed an accusatory finger at onetime members of its own office, asserting in a court motion that police and prosecutors helped to convict a city man of murder a decade ago by "hiding" evidence that suggested he was innocent, possibly breaking the law in the process.

MORE THEN JUST A WOMAN

    More Than Just a Woman
She's more than just a woman, who wandered into my life. She's more than just a woman, that I spoke to more than twice. She's the woman who fights back the tears as I hold her through the night. It's more than just anguish. It's more than just the pain.

Deceptive ad paints PA-177 Dem candidate as 'terrorist sympathizer' | City & State PA
Sean Kilkenny, a union-backed candidate in Northeast Philly's 177th House District Democratic primary, has distributed a clutch of attack mailers that inaccurately cites past reporting by City&State PA to paint opponent Joe Hohenstein as a "terrorist sympathizer." The mailers refer to a report from November 2016 that describes an even older attack ad circulated by former Republican state Rep.
