Hello! Do you know who administers the cemetery next to the old All Saints Church? I have ancestors buried there (Stegmenn, Keller, Gensheimer, Williman) and I'd love to go in and visit their graves. The last time I was in Philly though, the gate was locked. I wasn't sure if I should call the SJC parish office or the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery office next time I'm in town.
The Comic Fest at the Bridesburg Rec Center is proud to have donated practice shirts to the Bridesburg Cougars 11/12 Basketball Team, which tonight were employed for game duty!

We will have after school to help parents with the early dismissals from school, but we encourage parents to pick your child up as soon as safely possible. As of 1pm, the building will remain open at usual hours tonight. Please be careful on the roads.

The Bridesburg Rec Center is proud to partner with the Delaware River City Corp (DRCC) to help feed the hungry this holiday season by hosting a collection bin in our lobby. Here is some information on how you can help those in need through the DRCC Food Drive: ------ "Did you know that more than 700,000 people in our area do not know where their next meal will come from? Help us fight hunger in your neighborhood! DRCC is holding it’s first Holiday Food Drive from Dec. 11th-Jan. 5th to benefit the Bridesburg Community Food Pantry. One of the largest in the City, the food pantry is located on the lower level of the Bridesburg United Methodist Church on Kirkbride St. and provides services for hundreds of people in the 19134 and 19137 area each week. There are two ways you can help: 1. Bring your non-perishable donations HERE or to any of the other Neighborhood Drop-off Locations listed below! River Wards Cafe - 3118 Richmond St. Bridesburg Recreation Center - 4601 Richmond St. (*Note that collection at this location starts on 12/15) Byrne’s Tavern - 3301 Richmond St. Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion - 8046 Frankford Ave. Sweet Lucy's Smokehouse - 7500 State Rd. AbvBev - 3421 Richmond St. Bridesburg Commissary - 2551 Orthodox St. Any non-expired, non-perishable food item will be accepted, but here’s a list of high-priority items recommended by Philabundance - www.philabundance.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Top10-11x17-R02.pdf 2. Donate online at http://drcc-phila.org/holiday-food-drive-2 ! Instead of heading to the store to buy donation items, can the cans and give what you planned on spending directly to the food pantry. It’s quick, easy, and the Bridesburg Food Pantry can get much more out of $1 than you could at any grocery store - two meals to be exact! *Note in the comment line of your online donation that it is for "2017 Food Drive" Together we CAN make a difference!”
