Good Tuesday morning NWS Mount Holly FB friends and visitors to NJ De e PA and e MD. Its a wet morning across most of our area with generally one half to 1 inch of rain expected by 3PM. A thunderstorm is possible. There could be isolated wind gusts of 45 to 55 MPH between mid morning and early afternoon, associated with brief intense showers, especially in NJ/DE. Thereafter, dry and much cooler weather is forecast Wednesday through Friday. We may see another soaking rain event here next Sunday but accumulative snow is not expected in our area through this coming Sunday.

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms tomorrow (mainly isolated damaging winds). Even without lightning, there is a potential for stronger showers to produce 40-50+ mph wind gusts. The threat window exists just ahead of a strong cold front from about mid morning through early afternoon. Locally heavy downpours with these showers and storms could lead to poor drainage flooding.

Tomorrow! During our community session with the Philadelphia Parking Authority, every resident from the community will get an opportunity to sit with a representative from the Philadelphia Parking Authority to ask questions and address their concerns as well. They will have laptops on hand so that they can look up your information as well. At the conclusion of this session, the community will come together at a later date to create some reforms for Parking Authority that we will send to the Mayor, City Council, and the Philadelphia Parking Authority. This will be a community-driven Initiative. I honestly believe that the Philadelphia Parking Authority has contributed to the high poverty rate here in Philadelphia and it must be addressed. See you guys on Tuesday.

The next chance for widespread moderate to locally heavy rain occurs late Monday night through Tuesday afternoon. Poor drainage flooding is possible. In addition, heavier showers and isolated thunderstorms could result in strong wind gusts.
