'Lonely hearts' adoption for dogs who don't get picked
Some dogs up for adoption are perfectly wonderful, but just don't "show well," whether it's because they're shy, or nervous, or not immediately beautiful. The PSCPA staffers who know and love these long-termers are hosting a special event to try to find them a forever home.

DOWN WITH BORING FOOD! Tomorrow our Hackett HYPE leaders are premiering their flavor station in the school cafe during lunch time! They will have more than 11 not-so-secret herbs and spices that children can use to spice up their lunch! There will be rosemary, dill, black pepper, garlic, cinnamon, Italian herb blends, plus more salt-free blends that children can sample with their hot lunch and expand their horizons! Here are some photos of our HYPE leaders preparing for their big debut, taken by our Nutrition teacher extraordinaire, Miss Katie Berky! #thefoodtrust #getHYPEphilly

Friends Of Hackett added 11 new photos.

Apologies for the delay in posting about this wonderful event, but we've just been sidetracked with Eagles Mania all week! Last Friday, local artist Keith Greiman hosted his 2nd annual Art for Hackett fundraiser at Minnow Lane. It was another fun and successful night, this time with more artists (47 in total) contributing their 4"x4" pieces to the event. Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and made it out! And if you couldn't make it but would still like to purchase a piece, there are about 10 unsold pieces still available until the end of the month at Minnow Lane!! So, go buy yourself a lovely piece of art by a local artist and support your local public school. Win win!!
