Seafood ideas in Philly, without shelling out

Though it changed hands recently, Gallo’s (8101 Roosevelt Blvd.) still turns tables in Northeast Philly with cheerful service, to boot.

This article has 1 other Philadelphia location (Show)

Seafood Unlimited (270 S. 20th St.), one of Philly’s “sleeper” restaurants, has been around since the early ’70s, first as a seafood market and now as a bar-restaurant jazzed up by an Isaiah Zagar mural and a killer $11.95 all-you-can-eat mussels special on Mondays.

Seafood ideas in Philly, without shelling out
"A decent, reasonably priced seafood restaurant in the city?" Options, alas, are few. The restaurant biz runs tight margins, and fresh seafood's costs are flukey. Northeast Philadelphia Jewish Shomrim Neighborhood Watch Patrols

Back in 2015 there was a large Jewish community interest in establishing a Shomrim Neighborhood Patrol in the far Northeast Philadelphia area similar to how Shomrim patrols are organized in New York City. The City of Philadelphia Town Watch Integrated Services is interested in assisting the local Jewish community and organizations in establishing Shomrim neighborhood patrols in Northeast Philadelphia area. Please contact me at 215-686-1459 or email me at Gregory.Bucceroni@phila.gov for additional info. Thank you

This is your opportunity to bring some winter sunshine to a senior who may not have many visitors or to spruce up a local rec center. If you choose The Glendale Home, your shared art project will connect you to a neighbor on a personal level.

If you participate in the Max Myers clean up, you will be helping spruce up the rec center which is finally the focus of an upgrade.

Either way, we need you!
