***Evening Update*** * Unseasonably warm temperatures continue through Wednesday with most of the forecast area seeing highs once again into the 70s tomorrow! It should be noted, places right near the coast and Delaware Bay will be cooler due to the still very cold water temperatures. *Fog will once again be an issue tonight into Wednesday morning and could be quite dense in places. Similar to today, expect this to burn off by late morning. *Unsettled and somewhat cooler weather will be the main story for the Thursday through Sunday period with off and on rain. It won't be raining continuously but most places will see at least some rain each of these days. For the latest forecast specific to your location please visit weather.gov/phi and enter your city or zip code in the upper left.

Hello 1830-32 neighbors I just received notification that Dawn Tancredi the attorney representing the zoning for 1830-32 South Broad Street has a conflict and cannot meet with us tonight. They have requested to postpone meeting with us tonight until our next meeting in March. Their zoning hearing is not scheduled until April, so we have time to meet with them in March. Please notify any neighbors that were planning to attend the meeting tonight for that zoning application. We still have another zoning case tonight for 2212-14 South Broad. See you tonight! Anthony

Before we get to the warm weather tomorrow, we will have some fog overnight. Areas of fog have already developed primarily north and west of the Interstate 95 corridor so far. However, fog may become more widespread overnight. If you will be out driving tonight, here are a few safety tips, courtesy of http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/fog/driving.shtml 1. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. 2. Make your vehicle visible to others both ahead of you and behind you by using your low-beam headlights since this means your taillights will also be on. Use fog lights if you have them. 3. Never use your high-beam lights. Using high beam lights causes glare, making it more difficult for you to see what’s ahead of you on the road. 4. Leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you to account for sudden stops or changes in the traffic pattern.

Good morning and Happy Presidents Day, everybody! A warm front lifts through tonight, and then Bermuda high pressure will usher record setting warmth on Tuesday and Wednesday with high temperatures closer to mid-May than mid-February! Temperatures then cool off for the end of the week, but remain above normal. No widespread snow for at least the next 7 days! Enjoy!

Good Monday morning NWS Mt Holly FB friends and visitors to NJ DE e PA e MD. Showers should arrive late this morning or afternoon. Dense fog is possible tonight. A huge warmup is expected Tue-Wed with record breaking warmth, especially Wednesday when forecast highs in the mid 70s...should be within 4 degrees of the all time February highest record. Then it chills Thursday with a period rain (possibly briefly mxg with sleet/frzg rain ne PA high terrain) . Seems like a better chance of icing Friday morning near and north of I-80. Overall, periods of rain Thursday-Sunday should bring us 1-2 inches, probably propelling Atlantic City to all time Feb wettest record and probably pushing Philly and Wilmington into the top 10 wettest February in our 100+ years of record keeping.

Attached is an updated snow total map from ydy's short but high impact event. We've cleaned up the evaluation in the Poconos. This map may update later today. Anyone who hasn't reported a snow total, please do it here and thank you very much for your participation.

Good Saturday morning NWS Mount Holly FB friends and visitors to NJ/DE e PA, e MD. An approximately 9 hour snow event late today and tonight will dump most of its accumulative snow between ~6 PM and midnight. If traveling the Interstate 95 corridor and northwestward through e PA into southern NYS, Long Island and southern New England, be prepared for rapidly deteriorating and slippery road conditions, as well as travel delays late this afternoon and early tonight. Snow may change to rain several hours after beginning from Wilmington to Philadelphia and New Brunswick, limiting accumulations there. The snow wont hang around long. Record warmth is forecast in our area Tuesday or more likely Wednesday when the mercury should rise into the mid 70s in the Philadelphia area. Our approximate estimate of expected snowfall as issued at 330 AM is attached, as well the chance for more than 2" ,and onset time. This information will be updated later today and we will be asking for your assistance with snow measurements, any time after 4 PM. Have a good day and thank you for following us.

Good Thursday Morning! A few days of warm wea...

Good Thursday Morning! A few days of warm weather, then turning much colder Friday night through Saturday. A quick moving storm will bring wintry precipitation to much of our area from late Saturday afternoon into very early Sunday morning. The snowfall map below is our first take regarding the late Saturday into early Sunday system. The amounts will be highly dependent on air temperatures, precipitation intensity and ground temperatures. There should be an area with some mixed precipitation and even rain which would cut down on snow amounts. While we are expecting an area of accumulating snow, the amounts and impacts are less certain. Another update will be issued later today.
