Frequent rains over the next few days will lead to the possibility for stream and river flooding. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Carbon and Monroe County, Pennsylvania and Sussex County, New Jersey for a period of light freezing rain expected late this afternoon into this evening. Another period of light freezing rain is possible Friday morning for the same areas that are under the current advisory, as well as other portions of northeast Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey. A light glaze of ice, perhaps a few hundredths of an inch, may result in slippery roads and walkways tonight and Friday morning. Especially for bridges and overpasses.
