The map below shows that there will only be a few issues the next day or so, but this could change later this weekend. Pay attention to future forecasts in case any flood products are issued. Changes Ahead.... Good evening! Record highs were set today for all of our climate sites but the warmth is coming to an end as conditions turn unsettled. At this time, a developing line of showers with some embedded thunderstorms is moving east from Lancaster County into Chester and Berks Counties over eastern Pennsylvania. These showers are moving at around 35 mph and will reach the Interstate 95 corridor from Wilmington, DE to Philadelphia near or shortly after 7 PM before continuing to move east into New Jersey as well as portions of Delaware and eastern Maryland. Some of these showers and storms could be locally heavy and produce gusty winds to around 35 mph along with reduced visibilities.

As of 2:30 pm, all of our climate sites have set daily high temperature records. Six out of the eight have either tied or set all time February records. Allentown and Reading have both hit 80 degrees. This is the first time any of our climate sites have hit 80 degrees in the month of February. Higher temperatures are still possible this afternoon. Temperatures are not official until we generate our climate reports. Note: In the table sent out this morning, the February all time records for Mount Pocono and Reading were reversed. Sorry!
