Earth Day's still a couple weeks away, but then, every day is Earth Day in Mt. Airy, innit? A couple thoughts on that: First, the Philadelphia Environmental Film Festival goes live at the Prince Theater this Friday through Sunday, and there are tons of inspirational AND aspirational movies both feature length and short to choose from. Also, Saturday is the 11th annual citywide Philly Spring Cleanup. The Mt. Airy Business Improvement District will meet at 9am at Trolley Car Park (6941 Germantown Ave) to tend to street trees along the avenue; East Mt. Airy Neighbors (EMAN) will lead a cleanup of Chew Avenue beginning at 9am at Save-a-Lot on the corner of Washington Lane; and our good pals at Lovett Memorial Library - Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia will lead a cleanup around the grounds of the library, so if you can't wait till the Go Mt.
