On this date February 15, 1976, one of the most SPECTACULAR blazes that I witnessed was when at 8:06PM, Box- 7818 was struck for the New Deal Lumber Yard at 20th & Ridge. Within 40 minutes ,9 Alarms were struck, and before the blaze was bought under control, the lumber yard along with 40 Plus homes were destroyed. Companies on the 9th alarm stretched as far as Broad & Master St.
