    No View for You
If you're waiting for the Kelly House Museum to open to the public, don't hold your breath... When his serene highness Prince Albert of Monaco came to East Falls to speak at Jefferson University's commencement last month, he stayed in his mother's childhood home on Henry Avenue.

    Not So Fast
Weather, work, and holidays can throw real roadblocks into training plans. Even when we couldn't make our schedules fit, Naomi had our back. For a while there, it seemed we were making amazing progress with our reactive/impulsive dog Ducky. After learning some long-line skills, we'd moved onto greeting behaviors.

    East Falls Traveler: Down Yonder
Slices owner and devoted dad Jim Williamson travels to the Smoky Mountains with his wife Dana to help their son conquer the Appalachian Trail (and sneak in some Gatlinburg nightlife) It wasn't all a tourist adventure for Jim Williamson (co-owner of Slices Pizza, with Jimmy Joyce) during his Tennessee travels last month - in fact, the idea to travel south began as a way to meet his son Michael during a break in the latter's hike of the Appalachian Trail.

Sweet!

A new “dessert studio” on Indian Queen? The Sugary takes a whisk in East Falls.

    Sweet!
We're usually not this slow when it comes to dessert news around here, but apparently East Falls has been getting sweeter since last summer. The Sugary, a "dessert studio" on Indian Queen began baking cupcakes, cookies, and cakes in August in a commercial kitchen in the old Falls Methodist Church building (across from Fiorino's).

How women doctors in America — and the world — got their start in East Falls.  From the Legacy Center archives, Drexel University College of Medicine

    HISTORY MATTERS: Ladies First
How women doctors in America - and the world - got their start in East Falls. Philadelphia is a city known for many "firsts." One of the lesser-known, yet still extremely important Philadelphia originals, is the Women's Medical College of Pennsylvania, the first medical school for women in the entire world.
