POLICE OFFICER OF THE MONTH May, 2018 P/O Gregory Segaline #7321 On Thursday, May 4th, 2018 at approximately 5:57 P.M. P/O Segaline #7321 responded to a radio call for a possible drowning of a 2 year old child in a house on the 10100 block of Wilbur St. Upon arrival, P/O Segaline observed medics rushing a 2 year old Indian female out of the property and to the hospital. After a very brief conversation with the medics P/O Segaline approached the house and confronted a 36 year old Indian woman who said she was the child’s mother. After further investigation by P/O Segaline, the female admitted that she intentionally drowned her daughter. P/O Segaline arrested her on the spot. He was later informed that the little girl did not survive. The mother was transported to Homicide for further investigation. P/O Segaline is a dependable and conscientious officer. He was able to control his emotions and perform his duties in a professional manner despite the upsetting circumstances of this particular assignment. It is because of P/O Segaline’s service and dedication to his job that we are proud to recognize P/O Gregory Segaline as Police Officer of the Month for May 2018. http://7thpdac.com/police_officer_of_the_month
