Our IMPERFECTA exhibition questions what it means to be "imperfect" by looking at the history of human abnormalities. Modern medicine has proven that genetic mutations and exposure to toxins are responsible for abnormal development, rather that divine influence and supernatural causes. Next week our Historical Medical Library is hosting a special morning event with speakers from The Smithsonian, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and more, to explore IMPERFECTA in-depth. The Rosenbach added an event.

Calling all pre-schoolers! Come play with us on the last Thursday morning of every month. We’ll read a story together and then embark on a treasure hunt through the Rosenbach brothers’ glitzy Rittenhouse Square home to discover things that relate to the story. Afterward, families are welcome to join us in our activity room for hands-on art making activities, creative play, music and snacks. Museum Adventure at the Rosenbach is free and advance registration is not required; caregivers with children 2 to 4 years old are welcome to drop in for all or part of any program. Younger siblings are also welcome. Attendees receive a passport which will be stamped after each visit; after four visits, attendees will receive a certificate of visual literacy for their pre-schooler.
