Have you heard about Playstreets? Playstreet...

Have you heard about Playstreets? Playstreets are neighborhood blocks that are closed off during the daytime in the summer. They’re a safe place for our kids to play without having to leave their neighborhood. In addition to summertime fun, these sites also offer lunches for neighborhood youth ages 18 and under. McPherson Square is a Playstreets location where kids can receive free meals. A few other nearby Playstreets serving free summer meals include: - 2200 N. Fairhill St - 600 W. Mayfield St - 2700 N. Warnock St - Lillian Marrero Branch Library https://beta.phila.gov/programs/playstreets/

On July 23, 1991, Marisol Colon-Torres was at home in North Philadelphia when a neighborhood guy, a Dominican drug dealer she knew just as Chuito, came by looking for her brother, Carlos Torres. Chuito was angry, and Colon-Torres said she already knew he was dangerous.
