12/15/17 The Washington Square West Civic Association has reached out to the Bicycle Coalition and to the Office of Whole Streets, OTIS . We initiated meetings with both organizations this week to discuss ways to maximize protection and safety for bicyclists in the bike lanes on Spruce and Pine Streets. We will continue working with them and others who share the concern that the streets of Philadelphia must be safe.

Wanted: Front Desk Volunteer for William M. Meredith School William M. Meredith School is looking for community volunteers to staff the school’s entrance desk. Responsibilities include: Greeting visitors/students entering the building, facilitating visitors/volunteers/parents with signing in and out, delivering the mail, and special projects. Volunteers are needed for regular shifts M-F from 8:45am-12pm and 12pm-3:10pm. Volunteers will need to obtain School District of Philadelphia volunteer clearances to begin work (more information can be found here https://www.philasd.org/face/volunteer/).
