Old City District shared The Little Lion's po...

Please read the following message from The Little Lion, and save the date for Sunday, March 4th from 1:00-5:00pm as they will host a Old City Fire Relief Benefit for The Little Lion employees while they are out of work. They will also support Red Paws during that event, and will announce details on Monday. Our thoughts are with everyone affected. We can’t wait until the Lion roars again!

Young Heroes Outreach Begins Action Phase

NLM’s year-long Young Heroes Outreach Program, which takes the Museum’s lessons on civic leadership directly into schools, is now entering the phase when the students choose a social issue that matters to them and plan Action Steps to address that issue. Students in the seventeen schools NLM currently serves have been brainstorming and researching issues for the past several weeks. Their breadth of knowledge and commitment is truly impressive. The students have been considering  a wide range of topics from bullying to gerrymandering. The following seven schools have made their decisions. A formal presentation of each school’s social issue will take place at our annual Young Heroes Impact Celebration on June 2 at Girard College. Watch for event information on this website.
