The Friends of the Kingsessing Library with heavy hearts announce the imminent transfer of our wonderful children's librarian, Ms. Kim Robinson, who has also been our acting head librarian for several months. We are very concerned about the future of the Kingsessing Branch Library due to continual understaffing, Saturday closures and a recent mid-week closure. Look for the announcement of a community meeting.

Thanks Urban Art Gallery for your work in the community!

Part safe space, part beacon, West Philly's Urban Art Gallery 'bridges the gap between violence and peace'
It was a Friday night in March when musician Christian "Sap" Tizon and his band were rehearsing in West Philadelphia's Urban Art Gallery. Then, over the music, they heard loud popping sounds. Through the large plate-glass windows, they saw flashes of light in the darkness. They knew it was gunfire.
