FYI- Inquiry Charter School's application process is open until March 10th (it's K4-5th grade). My daughter is in the K4 class there this year and we've been very happy with it. The K4 class is for students that will be 4 and a half years old by Sept. 1st. This K4 option has been great for us because our daughter was really ready for school but just missed the Kind cutoff. Many free preK options are income-based, but not this one. I also like that the K4 class is totally integrated into the rest of the school (shared recess, weekly school-wide meetings, before/after care). As a charter, it is a free public school accepting students from all over Philly. It is located right near the Please Touch Museum. They have a low cost before and afterschool program that is optional, but ideal for working parents. The school promotes their values: Curiosity, Generosity, and Growth. If you or someone you know is looking for a school - especially for K4 (preK) or Kindergarten, I would recommend checking them out.
