The Enterprise Center is at Dynamite Pest Con...

Story number six in our 52 Stories about 52nd series details the history of Dynamite Pest Control, which has been a neighborhood fixture for over four decades and even had a cameo in a 1970s Blaxploitation film! A Dynamite Story Did you know the oldest continuous business on 52nd St. is both Black owned and family run? It was started by Rich Foreman Senior. Born in 1941, he went to Cheyney U. and in 1969 he left in his 3rd year to start Dynamite Pest Control. Originally known as Dynamite Exterminators, the company began in an apartment at 5215 Spruce .Their iconic sign actually made its way into the Black exploitation film Trick Baby in the 1970’s! Rich Sr. worked up until his death on December 26, 2008; in 2009 Rich Foreman Jr. stepped in to continue the legacy his father started.
