Justice in School Funding: A Constitutional Imperative
Pennsylvania has the greatest gap between rich and poor school districts in the nation. This disparity is the result of one of the lowest state contributions to education in the country. Tens of thousands of students living in poverty languish in under-resourced schools as a result of inadequate and inequitable school funding.

Blanka Zizka's production brings a gutsy and visceral interpretation of Shakespeare's tragic love story. Taysha Marie Canales and Matteo Scammell lead the Wilma HotHouse Company in this contemporary exploration of biting language and bi-partisan mentality, traditions of an older generation versus the vitality of the younger and unconditional love matched with unforgivable violence.

Radioactive records?! Early in 2016, the Electronic Records Division of the National Archives and Records Administration received an unusual collection of donated electronic records. The original paper records, found to be radioactive, were discovered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during cleanup operations at the Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania Safety Light Corporation Superfund site. Donated by the Safety Light Corporation and scanned by the EPA, these electronic records document the perspective of the United States Radium Corporation (USRC) and its predecessor, the Radium Luminous Material Corporation (RLMC), on the story of the radium luminous paint dial painters, popularly known as the Radium Girls. Read more about the fascinating story from our colleagues at the National Archives in College Park! These digitized records are now available in the National Archives Catalog as Records Related to Radium Dial Painters, 1917-1949 (National Archives Identifier 40978844). https://text-message.blogs.archives.gov/2018/01/04/the-radium-girls-at-the-national-archives/
