    Joseph G. Procacci, South Philly tomato king, dies at 90
    Mr. Procacci was co-founder, with his brother Michael, and longtime chief executive of Procacci Brothers Sales Corp., a wholesaler supplier based on Front Street in South Philadelphia. The company, which owns farms in New Jersey and Florida and operates overseas, says it produces 10 percent of the country's tomatoes.

Philadelphia Leaf Recycling Program begins th...

Philadelphia Leaf Recycling Program begins this week. Saturdays from now till December 16 (except Nov. 11 and Nov. 25) leaves in paper biodegradable bags will be picked up at 15th and Bigler Streets and 20th and Hartranft Streets from 9 am to 3 pm. No tree branches or brush; just leaves. Bags can be purchased at home improvement stores, such as Home Depot and Lowes.
