"a grand yet intimate piece of musical theater" "a tour-de-force performance from Jamar Williams" "Several actors in PASSING STRANGE are part of the Wilma’s recently formed HotHouse, a troupe devoted to intense physical training and to new ideas about interpretation. This production brims with them." - WHYY #WilmaPassingStrange

    Review: 'Passing Strange,' and grandly
Broad Street between Locust and Spruce streets Runs through Feb. 18 - Bold, boisterous, and bellicose, the Wilma Theater production of the musical "Passing Strange" seems much more real than it did on Broadway 10 years ago. And that's important: What's real or not is at the core of the engrossing musical.

PAWS rescue Emmy is donning her party shades ...

PAWS rescue Emmy is donning her party shades for a very special reason: today marks the tenth birthday of our Old City adoption center! Emmy was one of the first animals to find her forever home at our 2nd and Arch location. The center was the first of its kind in Philadelphia when it opened its doors in 2008, and since then over 8,700 animals have been adopted to loving homes from that location. Emmy has enjoyed ten years of comfort and love with the staff member who adopted her, and we look forward to another ten years of happy beginnings like hers! Do you have a PAWS adoption story? If you’re curious about the history of science, you likely know Robert Boyle and his work. But Boyle wasn’t working alone: his published work refers to partners and collaborators. Or he’d publish their response to his ideas. But Robert’s most frequent and influential collaborator—his intellectual partner!—was his sister, Katherine, even though she never appears in his work by name.
