MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR ANTHONY LAZORKO June 5, 1935 – August 17, 2017 A Renaissance man, a dearly loved husband, father, brother and friend, Anthony Lazorko Jr., age 82, passed away on August 17, 2017, in New Mexico. We now picture Tony having conversations in heaven with Benjamin Franklin, sharing a Jack Daniels with Thomas Jefferson, and exploring the great beyond with wanderlust partner and love of his life, wife Marge. An artist known for his woodcut prints of the American West, Tony was also a painter, graphic designer and photographer. He was a great storyteller with an amazing mind and memory for detail. A magnet for friends, he welcomed diversity of ideas and lifestyle. He was a lifelong progressive with deep concern for the poor and disenfranchised. Tony attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA. After retiring from his job as Art Director of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, he began making prints again. His work has been included in recent exhibitions at El Paso Museum of Art, El Paso, TX; Dempsey Arts Center, Auburn, AL; Berkeley Arts Center, Berkeley CA; and International Print Center New York, New York, NY. A great writeup from Hidden City Philadelphia...

A great writeup from Hidden City Philadelphia on the Cret Illustrated Show hanging in the Hamilton Mansion. Come check it out at the opening tonight from 5:30-8:00

Cret Exhibition Captures Vibrations Of The City
Editor's note: Architectural drawing is a dying art. Before the digital revolution gave birth to drafting software, renderings of buildings, bridges, barrel vaults, and bell towers were meticulously illustrated by hand. And although most of the technical work done for architectural and engineering firms in the past left no room for emotion or expression, a human touch, and a physical object, remained.
