Philadelphia police: Man abducted, held for ransom, set on fire

He did suffer 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 50 percent of his body and remains in critical condition tonight.

A burned-out shell was all that remained of the victim's 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, which was parked along the 5400 block of Westford Road.

Police say the victim left his job working with people with special needs at Harbison and Benner in Wissinoming around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

The parade will start at Broad and Pattison in South Philly and continue North up Broad to City Hall where it will turn down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and end at the Art Museum, where there will be special celebrations beginning tentatively at 1 PM.
