Watch 'Jaws' while orchestra performs blockbuster's score
On Saturday, June 2, you can catch a screening of Steven Spielberg's "Jaws" at the Mann Center. The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia will perform the movie's suspenseful score live, as the action unfolds on three giant screens. Just as the movie left a mark on the summer blockbuster, so, too, did its music.

While shooting a SpaceX launch earlier this week in California, NASA photographer Bill Ingalls had a bit of a mishap with one of his remotely operated cameras (luckily the memory card remained in tact). http://bit.ly/2J2Kcex

A NASA photographer caught the perfect SpaceX launch shot. Then his camera melted
For photographers, the Robert Capa adage "If your photographs aren't good enough, you're not close enough," is a guiding principle. For NASA photographer Bill Ingalls, it can be updated to, "Even if your photos are good enough, and you're photographing at a safe distance, your camera might still be toast."

92nd ANNUAL solo exhibitions Jacob Koestler: Copy of a Copy Daniel W. Coburn: Becoming a Specter Julie Anne Greenberg: Considerable Uncertainty Remains on view through August 4, 2018. Please note, we are closed Saturday, May 26th. We wish you an enjoyable and safe holiday weekend! All of the projects that I work on start by walking with a camera, at first as a means of journaling….When sorting through the images later, these landscapes change shape and take on new meaning, as I forget what existed outside the frame. These instances of daydreaming and the fog of memory are mirrored by my use of mixed media and the flaws intrinsic to the photographic medium - light leaks, lens flares and multiple exposures. Screenprinting over a photograph distorts the realities of the landscape, but it also meshes with the initial observation to create something new. These combined mediums and disparate pairings point to the fallacy of photographic documentation and hint at the subjective ways that we perceive and record the actual world. - Jacob Koestler Image: Jacob Koestler, Russian Satellite, from the series “The Natural Bridge”, 2013, Archival pigment print http://printcenter.org/100/92nd-solo-shows/
