On January 31, 2018, the Rosenbach will host a screening of the classic horror film NOSFERATU, with live organ accompaniment by Frederick R. Haas. Conceived as a companion program to our Frankenstein and Dracula exhibition, this spooky cinematic event will give us a chance to experience another gothic monster in this critically acclaimed and beautifully visualized film--which, incidentally, is lifted almost whole cloth from Bram Stoker's DRACULA. This blog post explores the connections between the Stoker estate, the Rosenbach, NOSFERATU, and our unusual off-site event.

    The Destruction of Nosferatu
On January 31, 2018, the Rosenbach will host a screening of the classic horror film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror , with Frederick R. Haas accompanying the movie on the organ at Macy's.

Hallmark made a Christmas movie about Philly millennials and development

Why the 1700 Addison lights are shining even brighter this holiday season

Hallmark made a Christmas movie about Philly millennials and development
Just when you thought Philly's Christmas movie tradition could get no richer than "A Royal Christmas," aka Princess Hoagiemouth, Hallmark added a new title to the canon: "A Gift to Remember." The movie debuted this year. It's totally about Philadelphia. The main character lives in ... Northern Liberties!

Hello, tonight my small Yorkie named Josie got loose in the area tonight at about 5. I am out of town and she was staying with a friend. She is black and silver, weighs 15 pounds, is wearing a blue and white sweater, and has a blue harness with her name tag and microchip. If anyone in the community has seen her, she got away near broad and Mifflin and ran towards East Passyunk. I am horribly worried and feel helpless being out of town. If there are any sitings of her, she moves quickly and is probably very scared. Please call me at 914-582-0784.

Congratulations, Brewery ARS!

The 10 Best Brewery Taprooms and Brewpubs (2017)
It was another banner year for craft beer. As macro breweries continue to acquire new brands, craft breweries are opening at an incredible rate. There are now more than 5,000 craft breweries nationwide, meaning most Americans live within 10 miles of one. As a result we're all spending a lot more time in brewery taprooms and brewpubs.
