After several days of cool and wet weather, temperatures are finally on the rise this morning! Most locations are already well into the 70s and we expect afternoon highs to be around the 80° mark, give or take a few degrees. It'll be a humid one, though! Showers and storms remain possible today and Tuesday. Much more pleasant and dry weather settles into the region by the middle of the week with highs around 80° and lows around 60°.

Good Morning Facebook Friends! As you get ready to head out this morning, allow a little extra time for your morning commute as areas of fog, with visibility as low as one half mile, will be possible through mid morning. If you encounter fog, reduce speed and allow extra following distance with the vehicle in front of you. In addition, moderate to heavy rain could result in minor flooding of low lying areas across Delmarva. A flood watch continues for much of the region through the day Saturday as additional rounds of rain are expected. For a detailed forecast for your location, visit www.weather.gov/phi

US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Moun...

Happy Thursday all! We are still in the midst of a rainy pattern that will last through early Saturday night that is being influenced by tropical moisture from an area of low pressure near the Gulf of Mexico. Some locations have already received 1-2 inches of rain, especially over the Poconos and just west of the I-95 Corridor. Another 2-4 inches is in the forecast for most of the area, with locally higher amounts through Saturday evening, especially south of I-195. With all of this rainfall, a flood watch remains in effect for most of the area through Friday night. Stay tuned as more information comes in. Remember, to never drive through flooded roadways. Turn around, don't drown!

Wind damage was widespread generally to the north of I-78 with yesterday's severe weather (see attached image of storm reports received so far for the May 15 severe weather outbreak). If you have additional reports of hail or wind damage to report, please let us know (size of hail, timing of severe weather, and location all appreciated). Photos give you metaphorical bonus points. Also, if you would like to post photos of the mammatus clouds that developed after the storms passed or of the rainbow(s) before sunset, post them here! Good morning everyone! Severe thunderstorms...

Good morning everyone! Severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of our area under a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) and areas north of Trenton under an Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5) for severe thunderstorms. Storms are expected to continue developing to the northwest, eventually becoming a squall line as they move to the southeast through our area. The storms should stall over Delmarva, which could lead to flooding. Main threats are damaging winds and heavy rainfall, although hail and frequent lightning will also be a concern. Stay weather alert today!
