'Finding Neverland' at Academy of Music: Adult musical masquerading as a children's show

Finding Neverland. Through Nov. 26 at the Academy of Music, 240 S. Broad St. Tickets $25-$614. Information: kimmelcenter.org,  215-731-3333

'Finding Neverland' at Academy of Music: Adult musical masquerading as a children's show
"Finding Neverland," through Nov. 26 at the Academy of Music, is the prequel to "Peter Pan," the story of how Barrie created the tale. This touring show, one of the Kimmel Center's Broadway Philadelphia series, is a musical that is an odd amalgam of whimsy and pathos, an adult drama that pretends to be a children's show.

Where to eat by yourself in Philly this Thanksgiving

Starting at 11 a.m., this sports tavern will be offering a $15 Thanksgiving meal at the bar. Both locations — 15th and Locust, and 18th and JFK — will offer the holiday-themed plate all day long.

Where to eat by yourself in Philly this Thanksgiving
Not everyone can make it home for Thanksgiving. The family gathering might be too far away. You might be tied up with work. Or maybe you're just ignoring everyone this year. Whatever the reason, you don't have to eat alone. Several local bars are open on Turkey Day, so head out early and grab a seat.
