The Mobile Teaching Kitchen will arrive on-site with tables, cooking equipment, speakers and more to create a hands-on cooking demonstration. The Mobile Teaching Kitchen teaches people how to consume more fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains, fewer processed, high-sugar junk food items, how to have the confidence to cook at home, and connects them to the resources that provide access to real, fresh food.
The Mobile Teaching Kitchen will be at EPCC on:
Tuesday, October 24th: 4:00p – 6:00p
Wednesday, November 15th: 4:00p – 6:00p
Monday, December 11th: 4:00p – 6:00p
Wednesday, January 24th: 4:00p – 6:00p
Along with the Mobile Teaching Kitchen, Share Food Program’s Mobile Farm Stand will be onsite. Community members will have the opportunity to pre-order packages through EPCC ($20 for a box of food - meat, eggs and produce- worth $40) which will be available for pick up during Mobile Teaching hours, as well as individual items from the farm stand at discounted prices with SNAP benefit cards, cash or credit cards.
