The Mobile Teaching Kitchen will arrive on-site with tables, cooking equipment, speakers and more to create a hands-on cooking demonstration. The Mobile Teaching Kitchen teaches people how to consume more fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains, fewer processed, high-sugar junk food items, how to have the confidence to cook at home, and connects them to the resources that provide access to real, fresh food. The Mobile Teaching Kitchen will be at EPCC on: Tuesday, October 24th: 4:00p – 6:00p Wednesday, November 15th: 4:00p – 6:00p Monday, December 11th: 4:00p – 6:00p Wednesday, January 24th: 4:00p – 6:00p Along with the Mobile Teaching Kitchen, Share Food Program’s Mobile Farm Stand will be onsite. Community members will have the opportunity to pre-order packages through EPCC ($20 for a box of food - meat, eggs and produce- worth $40) which will be available for pick up during Mobile Teaching hours, as well as individual items from the farm stand at discounted prices with SNAP benefit cards, cash or credit cards.     Maisha Bradley, a beloved Philadelphia teacher and mother, died at home Friday of an asthma attack that led to cardiac arrest. She was 42. Mrs. Bradley, who lived in South Philadelphia, was for 14 years a teacher in the Philadelphia School District, at Cleveland Elementary and most recently at Meredith Elementary in Queen Village.
