Police said just after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, the man entered the Bank of America branch located at 6425 Rising Sun Avenue. He approached the counter and handed a teller a threatening demand note. Shortly thereafter, the man left the bank empty-handed, exiting through the back door.

Then, just before 3 p.m., he allegedly entered the M&T Bank branch located at 6500 Castor Avenue, where he presented a teller a threatening demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank on foot, according to authorities.

Officials said the same man is believed to be responsible for the October 5 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 6611 Castor Avenue.

    Police: Bank robber hits two banks on Monday, one earlier this month
    The FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking the public's assistance to identify and locate a serial bank robber who targeted two Philadelphia banks Monday afternoon and another earlier this month. Police said just after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, the man entered the Bank of America branch located at 6425 Rising Sun Avenue.
