Louisa Knapp Curtis, the first editor of “Ladies’ Home Journal,” decorated Strawberry Mansion’s 19th century Reception Room. Her original furniture purchase in 1931 included two mirrors, a pair of side chairs, a marble top table, two small tables, two arm chairs, a sofa and a pair of urns for a grand total of $723! #WomensHistoryMonth
