They did it! Congratulations GOTR Tigers! Girls on the Run is a 10 week after-school program, open to girls in third through fifth grade. At each practice, our girls participated in interactive running games while learning skills that promote social-emotional well-being. The spring season concluded on Saturday with a 5K race at the Navy Yard, where parents were encouraged to participate as well. Thank you to Girls on the Run Philadelphia, to the volunteer coaches, and the parents; with your help, and guidance, our Tigers reached their goal!

Bache-Martin Home & School Association added ...

As the 2017-2018 school year wraps up, please remember that we need to keep those minds sharp during the summer! Last week Friends of Bache-Martin picked up 16 boxes containing 952 books from Tree House Books in North Philadelphia, to be distributed to each of the K-8 students to take home for the summer! Treehouse Books has a mission of giving each child in Philadelphia access to books ( http://www.treehousebooks.org/). Besides giving the students some fun books to read over the summer, we felt this would be a great way to get the kids excited about the Bache-Martin library opening in the fall. Below is Bache parent Ali Tepper, pictured with Emma Goldstein from Treehouse in front of their storefront on W. Susquehanna Ave., with some of the boxes. Ali and Jerilyn Dressler (in second picture, FOBM) delivered the books to the school, which will be distributed to the students this week!
