PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Philadelphia is the birthplace of many things, including the first Asian Arts Initiative in the country. "At the time when we were formed, things are different now," said deputy director Julie Shaw. "But we really, for many years, were unique in the country as being kind of the only place that focused solely on the Asian American experience through art."
