“One of our goals is to change the level of poverty in the city and its generational poverty,” Domb said. “And one of the best tools of changing that is through financial literacy pre-K to 12th grade. It’s not going to happen overnight, but over the next 10–15–20 years, by teaching financial literacy, we will break generational poverty.” Thanks to the Northeast Times for covering the financial literacy lessons being taught to 2nd and 3rd graders (and beyond) at Hancock Elementary. Councilman Domb is proud to sponsor Philadelphia school teachers to take the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia program that helps teachers incorporate financial literacy lessons into their curriculum.

Students keep their mind on their money - Northeast Times
It's never too early in life to learn the importance of money. Students at Hancock Elementary, 3700 Morrell Ave., are learning this valuable lesson and becoming financially literate in the process. Last year, City Councilman Allan Domb heard about a unique program that the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia was leading.

Row House Synagogue In South Philly Reborn
One of Hidden City Philadelphia's hallmarks is its sweeping vigilance of beautiful, worthy buildings facing demolition. Scattered across the city, abandoned religious structures are also monitored for their architectural fate. This month marked the fifth anniversary of the 2013 Hidden City Festival in which the then fledgling, historic Shivtei Yeshuron (aka "The Little Shul") Orthodox row house synagogue was featured.
