'Christmas miracle' - how four Philadelphia nuns and a young Delaware County driver survived horrific car crash

Messages may be sent to the nuns online at PhiladelphiaSisters@nazarethcsfn.org, or by mail to Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, 2755 Holme Ave., Philadelphia 19152, to the attention of Allison Taylor.

'Christmas miracle' - how four Philadelphia nuns and a young Delaware County driver survived horrific car crash
The four nuns were seriously injured in a Delaware County collision. While trapped in their vehicle, they prayed for the young driver whose car veered into their path before the head-on crash. Some believe all survived because of divine intervention.

Tonight starting at 7:30pm, a team will be arriving at each WINNING home and business, and they will be presenting each one with prizes generously donated by Mayfair Business Association Members, and their OFFICIAL Lawn Sign indicating that they are indeed - '2017 Mayfair Christmas Decoration Contest Winners'! The Mayfair Civic Association's 2017 Mayfair Christmas Decoration Contest has been a huge success! We had over 200 homes nominated this year, and well over 2000 page views (and growing) on our 2017 Mayfair Christmas Decoration Contest Google Map (updated to show the WINNERS)! https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=15dhG9N0I4YDYFScxLi0BUQurYJ55URLS&hl=en&ll=40.04089214714757%2C-75.05064171802297&z=14 The judging for this contest was absolutely brutal because so many of our nominees went all out this year to bring the Spirit of Christmas to Mayfair! Each and every one of them did an amazing job of decorating their homes and businesses and on behalf of the Mayfair Civic Association we would like to Thank You for participating! A Very Very special Thank You to the Mayfair Business Association Members who have donated the prizes for this years contest! They are: Aztec Signs Cottman Beverages Sharon Owens State Farm Mike Perzel Insurance Agency Bellalisa Hair Studio Torresdale Flowers Deer Meadows Grey Lodge Pub Insectarium and Butterfly Pavillion World of Animals - Mayfair These and the rest of the Mayfair Business Association Members believe in our neighborhood, and want to see our community continue to thrive, and succeed. Please show them your support! It is important to remember that this contest has been a success because we came together as a community, and each and every one of us has participated in one way or another to make it work. NONE of this would have been possible without the home and business owners going all out this year and doing an amazing job of decorating their homes and businesses for Christmas, without the nominations from our homeowners and neighbors, without our Mayfair Business Association donating the prizes, and without the Mayfair Civic Association organizing the event and putting it all together. Working as a community, we can continue to shine a positive light on our neighborhood, and we can continue to show that Mayfair is indeed - A Great Place to Visit, and an Awesome Place to Live! Merry Christmas Mayfair!

Holiday Decorating Contest Winners Wow we ar...

Holiday Decorating Contest Winners Wow we are so impressed by all of the hard work and holiday spirit on display in our community. We are also happy that people found the fun in this contest and were competitive but always friendly. As our first year doing this, we were thrilled to receive 34 nominations. Please see the list of winners below as the top three in each category. We plan to bring around the winner lawn signs around tomorrow evening (Monday). If no one will be home, just shoot a message to this may and we'll contact you. We were also thrilled to receive messages about younger folks and kids who got into the contest and decorated themselves or spent some of their own money for decorations - like Christopher and JoJo Roy. Message this page with their names. We would like to give them a special recognition certificate.
