Iconic Kensington milk bottle, Engine 46 firehouse are now certified historic
An iconic water tower in Kensington in the shape of a milk bottle and a stately brick firehouse in South Philly were among the five properties added to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places last week. The Philadelphia Historical Commission voted to designate five very different buildings as historic, which means that any exterior changes would have to be approved by the commission.

I'm from Los Angeles where it is always 75 degrees and sunny and we all sit around the pool with an IV full of almond milk made from wild-caught, humanely raised, free-range almonds and wait to be cryogenically preserved at age 25.

  • The City School reviewed by a parent

This school should not have added PreK if they expected to hold 4 year olds to the same standards as 3rd graders. My 4 y/o son was suspended for "playing unsafely on the playground". We had to withdraw him due to the inability or willingness of his teachers follow the written agreement and to meet his needs. We strongly feel his teachers gave up on him despite his strong academic performance. Additionally, The City School did not have a school counselor available which is negligent at best.
