  • Eve

I understand your thoughts on bars however if could be dangerous for you if you need to get out through a window in an emergency. Can you install window locks instead? Safer

  • If you decide to install bars, you can get the hinge type.
Like Eve said, you don't want to get trapped inside in case of a fire or other danger.

ATTEMPTED burglary on 2200 Block of Montrose.

Through the northwest alleyway (between Montrose/Christian and 22nd/23rd), individual(s) quietly removed back wooden gate. Then carefully moved chairs to climb up to window to either squeeze through or unlock back door while we were visibly in the house. Police tips: leave lights on, lock doors and windows.

A medal to Law Enforcement! Sad that a lot of us only see the bad in them. What about the GOOD that they do! That too should be recognized.

  • Don

Absolutely Lisa, imagine a world without police, they should all be saluted as you see them walk or drive by, the potential for danger to them is endless everyday as they begin their shifts, I have an 8 and 6 year old, they wave and salute to every officer that passes them, great job to Philadelphia's police
