On behalf of Unity in the Community , we would like to thank our sponsors @dahnistry and @beautyoverload for supplying hair and makeup for our Philly Girls Rock winners @soroya_marie @tiffany_tiphanie for the Black Girls Rock Awards last night. The ladies had an awesome time hearing First Lady Michelle Obama , Jada Pickett , Cicely Tyson , Ms.Badu and many more speak about girl power in America. In addition to that they jammed to the tunes of Philly's own Jill Scott , Fantasia , Erykau Badu and more.Overall it was amazing night and everyone enjoyed. Thanks to the President of Bet Stephen Hill for providing tickets for the ladies.

Females are the driving force behind most of the movements in our community today. At the conclusion of the event it was good to see the women networking with one another with one thought in mind and that is to make our communities better.I salute these women because they have a sense of understanding that it's not about them , it's about our community! Great feeling!

Accumulating snow is expected to begin from south to north around or shortly after daybreak on Friday. As temperatures slowly warm, snow will changeover to rain Friday afternoon in the I-95 metropolitan corridor and points southeast. Further to the northwest, particularly north of I-80, precipitation may fall mainly as snow. Forecast amounts range from a dusting along the NJ coast to 2 inches in the I-95 corridor. This storm will be more elevation dependent, and the forecast amounts reflect this, rising to several inches in the Poconos. The Friday morning commute will be impacted generally from Philadelphia south, while a greater impact is expected for the Friday evening commute along and to the northwest of the I-95 corridor. Here is the forecast snow map from 4 PM Wed March 18. For the latest snowfall forecast visit our website: weather.gov/phi/winter
